What Size UGG Boots Should I Buy?

Selecting the right pair of authentic UGG boots, known for their high quality, is important. With proper care, these UGG boots can last a long time with the right care. Thus, choosing the correct size is crucial. The internet offers various opinions on how to find the right fit for UGG boots, but we aim to provide you with professional advice to help you select the ideal size.

If you haven't yet, we suggest to check our Size Guide on our product page. This guide is designed to assist you in finding the right fit for your UGG boots.

UGG Size Chart

Our A-Grade Merino wool, integral to the crafting of our UGG boots, boasts a standard thickness of sixteen millimeters. However, being a product of nature, this thickness can fluctuate between fifteen and eighteen millimeters. This variability in the density of our premium sheepskins necessitates larger soles for our UGG boots compared to other footwear. Consequently, using the sole size of another shoe as a benchmark for sizing our Australian-made UGG boots often proves misleading, typically resulting in the selection of a size too small.

The most reliable way to ascertain the correct size for your UGG boots is through our downloadable size guides. These guides offer precision whether you choose to wear your UGG boots with or without socks. Although we advise against wearing socks with UGG boots for optimal comfort and fit (further details on this recommendation can be found here), it's crucial to measure without socks when determining your size.

If you don't have access to a printer at home, you can use our ordinary size chart here to find you perfect fit here. If you want to be extra careful we recommend that you measure your foot from the tip of your longest toe to the back of your heel and refer to our size chart to see which size corresponds with the length of your foot.

UGG Boots

Initially, UGG boots should offer a snug fit, particularly around the toes, where there should be minimal space between your toes and the front of the boot, without causing them to curl. Additionally, your heels should not slip while walking in your UGG boots. Contrary to popular belief, it is not advisable to buy UGG boots in a larger size for extra roominess, especially in the toe area. It's essential to remember that as you wear your UGG boots, the inner wool lining will compress under your weight, conforming to the contours of your feet, and the suede exterior will stretch due to the movement of your feet inside the boot. Consequently, UGG boots will naturally expand about half a size with regular use.

This is why we advise that your UGG boots must feel quite snug when you first buy them, akin to how a new pair of denim jeans would fit. If not, the UGG boots may become overly loose after some wear, preventing you from fully enjoying the warmth and comfort that UGG boots are celebrated for.

Bear in mind, UGG boots are crafted from one of the softest materials available, leading to a unique fit that may not feel as tight as your preferred sneakers or high heels. This softness is precisely what makes UGG boots exceptionally comfortable, allowing them to perfectly mold to your feet in all the right places.

UGG Slippers

Slippers, in contrast, tend to deviate from true sizing, primarily because their innersole and sole are crafted using the same design template as UGG boots. However, unlike UGG boots, slippers typically feature an open back rather than a closed, reinforced heel panel found in boots. This lack of reinforcement means that slippers often appear slightly larger than an UGG boot of the same size. With our extensive experience spanning over 45 years in meticulously handcrafting and offering the highest quality UGG boots, our recommendation for customers is to select their regular shoe size
